.270 Winchester are a hunting cartridge , I don"t think they were ever made in a full metal jacket which is a military cartridge .

Sako make a full metal jacket. Think they're about €20 a box. John Lambert may have them.

Not currently on their cartridge database, but I heard John Lambert had them. Worth a shout anyway, they may have made them before.

Jack Kelly in wexford has them, sako fmj €20 a box. Not that accurate through my rifle and very slow over chrono. John Lambert does not have them.

Yes they do. Not widely stocked as .270's are not used for targets much and FMJ is not ethical for hunting.

I'll second that, seen them being shot years ago and they didnt' perform well. For 20 quid they are worth a try in your rifle to see if they group. I wouldn't be going out and buying 200 of them straight away though!!!

Definitely not a round you would use for serious target shooting , is there any info printed on the box as to velocity as they may be a reduced load .

No nothing on the box but they chrono'd at 2800 fps through my 22inch truflite barrel. Recoil was a lot less then most factory ammo so Id say they are loaded well off maximum charge. This surprised me as any other sako ammo I had used through my .300 and 7mm mags were the hottest factory rounds I had tried.
