most of the way through the first round now but least ye forget
    Simplified version of the rules:

I will post a topic and you have to post your response including why you made that choice within a given time limit (before the next match is scheduled to begin), take care while making your responses however as the other contestant can counter your arguement i.e pointing out possible flaws in what youve said.

*you can only counter an arguement two times so make sure your point is worth making. If someone's defense of their arguement isnt good it will count against them.

*You can use the same answer as your opponent if you wish i.e you agree with their choice however its hard to win a debate when your making the same points someone has already made

see the OP of the main thread for further details, the 1st match's thread or if any are needed or check out last years competition.

    Q: Pitch to McMahon #2

Vince has essentially retired the "Mr McMahon" character as is but what if in a trademark McMahon flip flop he decided to bring it back so that he can have one last big money feud/match/angle while he physically still can. Vince asks you what kind of angle/feud/match should be booked? but he has also asked your opponent so afterwards wonders why he should go with your idea over his for "Mr McMahons" last hurrah.

    good luck.

So Vince wants to be in the spotlight again eh? Haven't seen that same old **** before. He may not remember what happened a certain Raw in 2007. Yep you guessed it loyal reader, he was blown up in a limo (And not in a Síle Seoige way). That was a great angle was it not? Well it started out great until Chris Benoit tried to ruin the wrestling business. Why not continue that angle says me. What more from an angle could you want? The guy's character supposedly died. Not exactly feuded over a headlock is it?

So Batista is coming back soon. He had a great run as a heel before he left. My idea is to make him the heel with a secret. A man with something to hide. WWE has some very dull heels nowadays (sup CM Punk) and there would be no better way to get a great heel heat scenario than revealing Dave "Big Dave" Batista tried to murder his boss.

Batista comes back at the Rumble(you have a sick mind reader). He's jealous of how things have changed since he left. He has a secret to reveal to the world and calls out the roster. He claims he was the one behind blowing Vinny Mac up. The crowd would go mental and Vince would come out to a massive pop. Babies are being thrown in the air. He doesn't like this news and out of sheer anger immediately books himself in a match with Batista at Mania. A Hell in a Cell match no less. People are trying to convince him not to face Batista but McMahon won't hear any of it. He signs the contract and Batista beats the **** out of him leaving him in a bad way. The week before Mania Vince reveals the match will go ahead and he will get revenge. Batista comes out again and security separate the two.

The match at Mania happens and during the match Nexus come out (not the closet) and attack Vince again. Then Stone Cold saves the day and stunners the lot of them. He lets Vince stunner Batista for the pin. Vince wins and retires knowing he beat his enemy. He has a beer with Austin in the ring and waves farewell to the crowd.

Nope, it began as no way believable and ended as no way believable.

...I don't even know where this is meant to have gone? If slagging off a disturbed guy, who gave so much to a sport I love is ok, then I don't know what to say. Personally I find the tone of this paragraph insulting to benoit and his legacy.

I cant imagine a more dull heel than a returning batista with a secret vs Vince Mcmahon. Please, tell me why anyone would want to buy that angle.

hang on, and this is getting on to the core of what is so wrong with your point.

apart from Vince bringing Dave back as part of a poor feud with Nexus, what past history do they really have?

None. And no babies in the air can truly disguise the fact that no one really CARES about Vince Vs Batista. And why should we, there is no prior relationship or interaction to build on.
The match at Mania happens and during the match Nexus come out (not the closet) and attack Vince again. Then Stone Cold saves the day and stunners the lot of them. He lets Vince stunner Batista for the pin. Vince wins and retires knowing he beat his enemy. He has a beer with Austin in the ring and waves farewell to the crowd.

first of all, Nexus being involved with the last show of "Mr McMahon..." Nexus.. The spent force?? Other than Barett, who of this group has a chance?

secondly...where are your reasons for austin saving the day?? why would he? kayfabe...he hates mcmahon... and non kayfabe, if they were to go that route....then that heel turn at WM17 almost cost him his career.

    Here is my point.

I firmly believe that Vince McMahon as the power mad corporate boss was the best heel I have ever seen.

So...arguably the greatest heel in the wrestling industry, "Mr.McMahon" wants one last hoorah. I would argue the point that there are only two men capable of providing the drama for that one last match...

    Those two men are....

Bret Hart (essentially the catalyst for the Mr Mc Mahon Character )

And Stone Cold Steve Austin..(The guy that took it to the next level)

I would have McMahon interrupt the last, live episode of tough enough, expressing the fac that he has the ultimate decision.

The two would then feud for a few months, with vince winning at a few PPVs, due to interference/dodgy refs.. before finally Austin is coaxed back into one retirement match...

one character could not exist without another...

it would be billed as the end of the attitude era..

I would of course have Austin win, and have THE biggest stars of the attutude era come on down...obscure or not...ie...the outlaws....stevie richards..the godfather...chyna..the dudleys ec etc...give the attitude era it deserves!

YAWN. No way would this be a good feud. How would a match be good with one cripple and another just recovering slightly from his injuries. People would be put off to **** by that horrible feud he had with Bret and that awful Mania match. People have already seen the Austin feuds when the 2 were at their prime. They could only be disappointed with one more feud especially when Austin won't be able to carry Vince. It's also pretty selfish to want Bret and Austin to risk even more injury against a man who isn't a trained wrestler. You have to look at the health and welfare of these guys.

So you want nobody to see this do you? Tough Enough hasn't been making waves in the ratings.

Christ no. You couldn't possibly drag this out any more than one month without people getting sick of it.

Would like to see you try bring most of the stars back. They're either sick of Vince and his ways or dead at this stage.

I guess as a result of a count out, DQ is DQ'd and Diabhal beag is declared the winner by default and proceeds into the quater finals.
