Ok I have decided that it is best for me to get braces this summer as I have a slight overbite it not to bad so I would have to pay for it myself or would medical card cover it? im 18.
I just have a few questions:
    1. What would the average price be and would it be best for me to go up north.
    2. How long is the waiting list I would like to get them on before August if possible :D
    3. I heard talk about tax return or something can someone explain this.
    4. Im in trim Co.Meath so can you recommend places close enough

    Hi there

the average cost of treatment is 3500 or thereabouts
It wont be much cheaper up north, you might save a few hundred but remember you have to go up evry 6 weeks or so
You can claim 20% in tax relief if you are working (or your parents)
Look up www.orthodontics.ie for a list of specialist orthodontists

    Hope this helps
