I've been told if I cant this in the next 7 days my claim will be closed. What this is I dont know.

I've been handing in loads of CVs the last few months. Apparently this isnt good enough, what else is there I can do?

She said something about emailing and getting a receipt. No employers gives these receipts/letters, and theres no jobs online for my area....

Just copy paste the emails from your sent folder and print them out. Also, keep a list of places you have dropped CVs into.

None of this is "proof" really, it could all be easily forged. It will satisfy the welfare tho.

Do you have the rejection letters. That's proof that you've sent in your CV but that it wouldnt be pursued further

Emails to where though, like the tesco website or something?

I've not yet seen a job in my area advertised online that I'd be able to apply for.

I've been handing them in personally in stores and talking to the managers. Most say they will talk the CV but there is no vacancies at the moment and unlikely to be.

Is there much else I can do...

The best thing to do is go on to a webite like irishjobs.ie.apply for any job.You should then get a confirmation email from irishjobs saying you have successfully applied for the position.

Social welfare will have the proof they needed

Ask them for a note on a compliments slip or headed paper to show that you have dropped in a CV. That might help.

Just make a list of everywhere you have applied, and the date your applied, that's what I have done.

Supposedly if they care the much they will follow up with these places, but everyone knows how useless they are so wouldn't worry too much.
