We have our planning now and happened to be looking at a new build recently , they had their large tank and all the associate pipes in a large press in their utility room (1.2 m * 0.8m). This runs the hot water throughout the house etc.
We had a look at our utility room and arent sure if we will be able to fit it in the current space without losing a lot of our storage. The other option is the hot press upstairs as its quite large.
Does anyone know of any reasons why we couldnt have all this stuff up there instead ?

The cylinder will be quite heavy and the pump there may irtitate and short runs between cylinder and boiler is key to minimising distribution losses. So utility is best

On a seperate note, if you genuinely intend to use the games room for a pool table, the room as shown is nowhere near big enough. You need 5 to 6 feet right around a table so minmum in one direction wold be 4800. Its terrible if the area isnr actually big enough to play. Im assuming pub size tabe of 6 foot approx.

Remember what happened last winter and the winter before.
The shorter the runs the better

thanks , yeah thought that the tank and pipes etc would be better in utility , there is normally a good reason for them having to be there.

Re the games room - its not actually going to be a games room with pool table - really just a 5th bedroom but renamed for planning is all thanks
