Vietnam Visa

Hi I'm travelling around SE Asia during the summer and there's one thing which is puzzling me. I was wondering if anyone could share their experience of getting a vietnamese visa?

From what I can see there are a few options

    1. Get it from London (I'm getting a few other visa atm so this isn't an option)
    2. Get it in Bangkok
    3. Get it in Cambodia

For option 2 I think I'm only going to be in Bangkok for two days so I'll have to get an express visa which I think costs $70 compared to the usual $35 three day option. It's hard to get the costs though, does anyone know what they are? Another boards thread says you can get a 14 day visa for cheaper and it's quicker? Anyone know anything about that?

For Cambodia, again I think I'll only be in Siam Reap and Phnom Penh for 2 days each. Can one get a visa there? I know you can get one at Sihanoukville pretty easy but I won't be there.

If anyone could give any advice it'd be greatly appreciated.

there is a online type you can get from some place ill have a look and get back to you with a link, i used them and it was great, you get this latter from them then you print off and then when you fly in to vietnam there is a desk before the checks and all this and you give them the letter pay some dollers and then you get the visa there and then and can then enter the contry etc etc.

From his post though it sounds like he is coming from Cambodia so will be crossing overland, not making that option viable.
There are loads of threads on this already just search it and you will find plenty of answers. If I were you I would get it in Phnom Penh

I'd get it in Phnom Penh.. More relaxed city and generally easier. Although if you're only spending so little time in Cambodia and Thailand, how long are you giving Vietnam?

You can get a Vietnamese visa in a day in Phnom Penh, drop it in in the morning and collect it that day about 4pm.

Make sure you don't give you passports to the Cambodian guard outside who will tell you he'll take care of it, you can walk straight in yourself and take care of it. It's completely hassle free
