Strange reg on BMW

I was behind this BMW 7 series in a petrol station, didn't get a chance to take a picture but it struck me as strange so I did a Cartell check
on it. As you can see the make is correct but the model is listed as a 318, the description states it's a 760LI and the fuel type is diesel but
the driver put petrol in the tank.

I saw him driving off with the window partially open and the glass looked about an inch thick.

Is it one of the cars that was used for the visits recently of the Queen and Obama I wonder.

    ANyone any ideas?

Yep, I was at the BMW day on Monday and they brought along the security X5 and 7 Series that were used for the Queen.
The reg plate means nothing on them, they have several, it's all armor plated and there's stuff inside that I wasn't aloud take pics of other than that it looks like a normal 7 series

It could be, especially since you saw the thick glass, but I thought all those reg's came back as blank when looked up.

Some of the cars were from england but had Irish reg plates for the visit.

Surely them security cars/jeeps would be diesel seeing as petrol is so volatile.

I could tell you but then the CIA would come around and kill you :D

There are some cool features, the X5 has speakers built in for talking to crowds outside but it also has Mics so the people inside can hear everything thats said, and I mean everything.
The 7 Series is bomb proof... literally.
It has its own oxygen system, run flat tyres and metal floor
BTW the run flats mean that there is a solid rubber tyre inside the normal tyre. According to BMW the 7 Series is top spec, there was loads more James Bond type buttons inside that he wasn't aloud talk about! But I seen a screen for weather and comms connectivity stuff all over.
Got a drive in the 7, I wasn't driving, it was slow and slugish being nothing more than a nice looking tank.

No, it was a line up of BMW's. The new 6 series convertible, the 1 series, Mini SD, 3 series coupe, X3 and X5 and best of all the new M1 which is a mental little car. Got to drive the lot of them too.
BMW call it a re-fresh day, nice to drive all the cars though

Nice one - sounds like a good day. On track or on road?

All on the roads around Wicklow so I couldn't get to open the taps on the M1, still has loads of fun though
