    Read the other day that the Witcher has been confirmed for the XBox, should be out sometime near the end of the year.

    what are the impressions of the PC version?
    Anyone here got it?

    I've played it a little so far. I'm not surprised to see it coming to a console, the control scheme and simplified inventory/alchemy/combat almost demands it. It kinda feels console-ey. Considering the lovely depth of stats, combat styles and potion making of the first one, I can't help but feel a little disappointed at the removal of some complexity.

    And the dialogue system is the Mass Effect style "you say something only loosely based on the option you clicked".

    Maybe I'm being premature, but if feels stereotypically console-ised. It's not as amazing as the first, so far.

    At first I wasn't sure about it, but once you get over the learning curve at the start of the game it gets very good.

    I can see it working well on the console, but the graphics I'm getting out of the pc version are fantastic.

    The game is great. The third chapter and epilogue feel a little rush, but the first 2 chapters are so huge and deep that that is probably a little unfair.

    The stats and such are still there, but they are prettier.

    And it is by far the best RPG I have played since Oblivion, including all Bioware stuff an FO3.

    The development team said they would keep The Witcher 2 as a PC exclusive like number1 but after playing through it, it was obviously made to be adapted to console, the layouts of all the menu's is classic console RPG style

    Good damn Witcher selling out ;___;

    Yeah, got it on the first day then. It was a nice game but something was missing... that adventure feeling of the first and the second chapters. I'm glad I've played it but I won't buy it for Xbox when it comes out.
