Having a bit of difficulty here, any help would be much appreciated.

I am trying to connect to PSN using Vodafone Mobile Broadband.

Have set the computer up for sharing, connected the laptop with the playstation via the cable. Tried to connect the playstation to the internet first using the "easy" settings but failed.

I then tried it with "custom" settings. So i entered the IP number, DNS, subnet mass and all that myself, but still can't connect to the internet.

Could it be a case that the vodafone mobile broadband is not strong enough in my area ?

Have you tried turning it off then turning it on again?

Vodafone might be port-blocking whatever PSN uses.

Your problem here is you're using the PSN instead of Xbox live.

    plus seriously PSN?

PC is the only option for true online gaming

As far as I am aware, the PlayStation Network is still offline in Ireland due to the security breeches. They are only getting themselves back on their feet one bit at a time.

There shouldn't be any issue with PSN over Vodafone mobile broadband though.

The best way to use it would be with a mini wifi hub HSPA router, rather than a stick obviously.
