Violent attacks in Albufera

There are reports of voilent attacks in albufera Portugal over the last few weeks. It seems to be located around the montachero area, so anybody going should be vigilant. http://algarvenewswatch.blogspot.com/2011/05/tourists-warned-to-be-vigilant.html

Heard a couple of people on 'moany Joe' talking about it during the week. One guy was attacked over easter week. I was there at that time and never heard anything about it.

I was told by a friend in work about it, but it was reported on BBC a while back so there must be truth in it.
I dont follow any news when im on holidays and this sort of thing gets more press at home than at the location it was reported to have happened.
Im booked to go to ablufera (old town) in Aug. it wont stop me from going anyway. I was there a couple years back and loved it.
