its the small things that make me smile,
driving to work on a beautiful morning, passed 3 other vintage cars coming against me,
the flash of lights and the friendly wave...

    cheered me up no end!

They were, 2CV van, Morris Marina, and an irish reg Fiat X19, cant be many of those fiats left

Agree with you there, days like today make all the hassle worth while. I have been seriously considering selling my mr2, mainly because of the increasing price of petrol. But taking it out for a spin today just put the biggest smile on my face :)

The best was yesterday evening when I was filling up at petrol station next to a massive BMW. Beemer driver emerges from shop and starts pointing at my car. I thought, 'oh feck', I'm after doing something to p!ss him off. But no, he just gave me the thumbs up and said 'nice motor' or something similar before driving off in a car worth ten times more than mine. Made handing over 20 quid for a paltry amount of fuel a little easier!

Driving a 1963 Volvo !800, which also makes lots of people smile when they see it.

Get it all the time in the T/A - sometimes to the extent I think I might have cut someone off or something is hanging off the car with all the beeps and waves.

Get the odd salute from other luxobarge drivers in the daily too!:)
