Hi All Just wondering if anyone has any experience of turkish lira. Heading there soon and i want to know if its cheaper to exchange my euros in Turkey or do it here before we go. Cheers

It will always be cheaper to get your foreign currency from a local ATM in the destination country. If you have a card with the Maestro logo on it, this will be your best bet. If you need to purchase a visa to enter Turkey at the airport, that can be paid in Euro or Sterling as well.

Edit: Now that I think of it, it may even be that the visa can be paid in Euro or Sterling only, not in Lira. So bring some hard currency.
