Not flaming here sanbra, but diving folk have a thing about calling those things you attach to your feet flippers :P We tend to call them fins.

Try ebay for a second hand pair. Or else www.divegear.ie

Try LIDL they recently had a load of snorkle sets in their stores. You may be lucky enough to get some still.
Their goggles are good for snorkling too :D

Incidently I dive with a LIDL wetsuit and have used it even in November Irish waters. Their wetsuits and shorties are of good quality.

Haha, I was called out on the same thing. Like I knew they were fins, but sometimes you revert to the wrong names. I was promptly told that Flipper is a dolphin, divers use fins. Hardy har har.

No so must be a common practise. I will check th PADI manual under the beer fines section.:D

Bear in mind when you are buying LIDL gear that diveshops around the country rely on local divers to buy their goods to keep their businesses going. These are the same guys whose boats we use and give us many wonderful days out. In these recessionary times support you local dive shops.

    Just saying................................

note I am not in the dive business

On the other hand, in the world of aquatic zoology:

"Fins" provide propulsion by side-to-side movement (eg a fish's tail)

"Flippers" provide propulsion by up-and-down movement (eg a whale's/dolphin's tail)

So perhaps we should call them Flippers!

    I'm just saying!
