    Have we moved on past the old dreaded homophobia and religious indoctrination that gay people are bad? Are we as a nation finally ready to give a man who is different a chance?

    Moved on? No. People are to some extent racist, homophobic, hate the English, feel superior to the opposite gender, blah blah...

    Its identity, which has been a tool of survival that got us to here as a species. Once the identity is threatened, even slightly, the prejudice arises as a safety precaution.

    So there you go. Homophobia is as natural as homosexuality.

    What has sexual preference got to do with anything when it comes down to who i wish to vote for?

    Not that i will be even going out of my way to vote for this presidential elections as my own view is that the office is a waste of good money that could be put to better use in such things as health care or education.
