Hi all, just wanted to let you know that TESCO have changed their policy on goods they overcharge for...they wont give you the good for free and your money backy anymore, instead now the Policy will be double the difference back if you are overcharged..ie..something marked 10 euro on the shelf and you are charged 12 euro at the till then you will get 4 euro back.....they say too many people were taking advantage the other way....
    I wonder why BOARDS members....lol....

They have aligned the policy with the UK

It's simply double the difference back.
There is a thread over on the consumer issues forum

If you are over charged more than 51% of the price shown, you get more back than the previous deal.

Not as good, but it had them being vigilant to their prices.......most of the time anyway. Double the difference will cost them a few bob too though!

You'd be surprised how that is lost on some people.
A guy in front of me went in to a big long complaint at customer services on his 3 for 5 euro fruit, he had an item that wasnt in the list and was costing more. When it came to refunding him, Priceless ... the look on the managers face when he said he hadnt actually paid yet.

While I do appreciate notifying the members of Bargain Alerts of this, it's not really a Bargain Alert.

So discussion can continue in the Consumer Issues thread.
