    I'm planning an extenstion 17ft x 24ft on both sides of my bungalow, Floor plan will be a carbon copy on both, I've only ever done extentsion to the rear of pervious houses and did not need to apply for planning, How much should it cost to have someone copy my drawings and get the planning through, I have been told anything from 1,000 to 2,000, surly there's only a day to draw is there big cost's applying for planning, I live in Co.Waterford

    you might find a student to "do drawings" cheaply. And take care of all other matters yourself.

    It'll take a half day to measure up your house.

    Then they need to draw;
    The existing plan
    The existing elevations (4)
    The site layout
    The proposed plan
    the proposed elevations (4)
    A section

    Add notes to the whole lot. And print out about 7 copies.
    I'm afraid this is more than "only a day's" work

    After that terms the newspaper add, the site notice, complete the application forms, and lodging to coucil etc. This stuff is minor.
