Is there a way to tell the difference between different springs visually?
I've a gearbox with an M120 spring which I need to downgrade. I've 2 other springs and I think one is an M100 and the other an M90 but I'm not 100% sure. Is there an obvious visual difference between them or is the type marked on the spring?

Do you know the make of the spring? As they are usually colour coded.

2 of them are from APS gearboxes and 1 is a King Arms.
Trouble is I'm not 100% sure that APS use their own springs and if they don't, whose they would use.

do u have acces to a chrono?
if so swap out the springs and put a few bb's through it with each spring in the gear box and record the results, and mark each spring accordingly.:)

Test the compression strenght, the harder to compress the stronger it is.

@Rabbit - Unfortunately not. Although I am thinking of investing as I find myself spending more time mucking about with the gunsthan I do skirmishing them :p

@Lefty - I guess I'll try that, I've got a few days before the new parts come in so I can just strip the gearboxes and have the springs ready for testing in the new box.
