Replacement Guitar Necks.

I have an old semi Acoustic Encore guitar that my mother bought my father before i was even around! I've had it for years but unfortunately before i had it it was left with strings on for a long time and the neck is fairly warped. I brought it to a guitar shop around 2 years ago he said it's too far warped and would be easier to replace it.

So does anyone know anywhere in the cork area or online where i can source and fit a new neck on it??

It's not worth it... Spend the money on something new that you can use.

    Just throwing it out there.

What kind of neck joint is on it? I'm guessing it's a bolt on if you want to replace the neck? Replacement necks are expensive and for a budget brand like Encore you won't be able to buy one directly for it. You can check sites like allparts and warmoth for neck prices but you'll probably have to pay a good tech to make it fit correctly after you get a neck. It's upto you to decide if you want to do it but I'd say it'd be a few hundred quid at least to get that done.

Dayum, that's a bit of a dose. Couple hundred quid is a bit too pricey at the moment. I suppose its the time consuming job of hoping to god an similar old semi acoustic pops up and buy it for its neck and swap them, would that work if they were similar?

Keep at as a momento, but just hang it on the wall or something. If you want to actually play guitar you should buy one in good working order.

Oh iv'e a room full to stringed instruments to play with, i'd just like to see it playable and in good nick again, without the 7th-13th fret being nothing but the same muffled note. Shame really.

It's after getting better over the last few years of having no strings and not being played.

    Sorry about the poor quality!

The thing is that, it may look okay but when tension is placed on it. However, with the strings on and tuned up, it will probably pop off.
