Hi guys i've got a problem maybe someone can help me with i wanted to display my laptop on a TV using RCA (Yellow, Red, White) plugs.

So i bought this connector thinking this would do the job for me but i can't seem to get it working.

I've connected the VGA connection to my laptop, connected my RCA cable to the Yellow, White, Red connections above but i can't get a picture, im not using the Svideo connection as my TV has no Svideo connection.

I'm wondering do i need to change the display settings on my Laptop or something? , ive check youtube/google/etc for an answer so any help is appreciated.

Ya hold down the Fn button and 1 of the buttons on the top row. Propably an icon of a TV\monitor on the button.

    Best a luck!

Probably not likely that your laptop would pick up the TV. I would say make sure that you have the output set to display on screen and throught the VGA socket (there's usually something lke 3 options to choose from) and also that you have the correct channel selected on your TV. It won't switch automatically like a scart connection.

Tv is on the correct channel AV, for the RCA input but nothing shows.

I've a Russound CAV6.6 multizone A/V distributor that ive all my Source Equipment) sky/freeview/PS3 connected to and they all display fine, but trying to get the Laptop to display is driving me over the edge

maybe i need to get a VGA to RCA Convertor???
