    Hullo

I am the proud owner of an 07 punto, just purchased this week.
We did the extensive check over before purchasing, but I have noticed an issue.
The radio/cd is great, works fine. BUT now that I'm driving the car to and from work, I notice the sound fades in and out when listening to the radio/stereo.
I've monitored the dial and for example if it's at 10, it remains at 10 but the sound still fades in and out.

ANYONE experienced this and how do I fix it..............?

Try switching off the AF function on the stereo.

If it's only when listening to the radio I'd say it's probably related to the RDS AF (alternative frequencies) function. You can turn this off but when you drive out of coverage of whichever frequency you're listening to you'll have to re-tune the radio manually.

If it's when listening to CDs or some MP3 player input I'd be concerned there is a problem. Most modern stereos have an "auto volume" function which will increase volume with speed (to counterract increased road and engine noise), but this is a very gradual change.

Hi Guys, my husband adivsed me to RTFM (read the Fing manual) so i discovered, that indeed, most modern stereos have an "auto volume" function which will increase volume with speed (to counterract increased road and engine noise), but this is a very gradual change.

    THANK YOU
