Biggest nutcase in Ireland

Just witnessed the biggest nutcase overtaking manoevre ever.

Heading down the M1 shortly after the toll road in a line of traffic. Burgundy Mercedes C class sits right on my back bumper so I let him past. He then does the same to an Audi who has a row of trucks to his left and a line of cars in front of him, he cant go anywhere. The Merc pulls right up behind him, weaving left and right. The audi has obviously got annoyed and is slowing down slightly, maybe hes nervous, but there is a slight gap between him and the car in front.

The Mercedes then OVERTAKES HIM ON THE GRASS VERGE. He was doing 70 mph. Then he went on to persecute the next man in front of him. I cant believe anyone would do that, Im still stunned. A shame the Gardai werent sitting in the queue of cars, wouldve loved to have seen him pulled in somewhere

Would achieve more if you got the reg and reported it appropriately rather than rant about it here :)

The wheel will turn the circle on that tool, it always does only a matter of time.

If i could see into the future and knew in advance what he was going to do maybe i would have, but since I dont have a photographic memory and cant be bothered driving with a pen and paper at the ready, taking everyones reg and just willing somebody to make a horrendous driving error, then sorry i missed the reg of the merc, that by the time he had executed said manouevre was a car in front of me. Unless I did the same as him to catch up. :P

With regards to reporting reckless driving, I have reported the same car (pink Audi 80 yes pink) to the Guards 3 times for driving flat out trough my estate and I have stated that I'm willing to give a written statement.

The last response I got is ahh yea I know the car I'll have a word with him, wtf I replied he is gona kill a child out playing do I have to do something or will you, reply ahh there's nothing we can do till we catch him.

So that is where reporting has got me.

Maybe if you put in writing something might be done. Theyll be scared that if a child is killed and there is documentary evidence to prove that there was something someone could have done, heads will roll. And pink? Maybe thats why hes driving fast, in the hope noone sees him in it.

Would that not be offering written statement? They have asked did I want to take it further and when I said yes the response was, we'll see how we get on and get back to you, I'm still waiting..

If your neighbours are also concerned, get them to report it too. It may be that you're the only person who's gone to the trouble of reporting it.
Gardai will rarely be in a position to follow up an alleged offence reported by a single individual or even a report of general behaviour with no further evidence. Start recording times and dates that this guy is acting the bollix and get your neighbours to do the same. Bring that to the Gardai, multiple sources indicating times and dates of offences which happen to correspond form a much more solid basis to pull someone in.
