[PC] MW2 Just got Hacked

Was playing MW2 up until a minute ago and I am trying to get a few masteries before starting elite ( only reached level 70 a few days ago). I was keeping an eye on challenges, when I noticed that my score is now -420419640, my Wins are -420420419, my losses are 420420420 and my kills are -420411.

My KillCam earlier tonight showed what looked like someone cheating, but tbh I usually just press F to respawn as quickly as possible, so I didn't get a good look at who it was or get a screenshot of it.

After that game, I took a screenshot of my Barracks as it looked ok, but now my Barracks shows the scores above. I got kicked off another game between the screenshots which both puzzled and annoyed me but since I was allowed to keep playing I didnt do anything about it.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do now? I had a quick look at the steam MW2 forum but it is not obvious what to do. I am really pissed off right now but don't know what to do. Any ideas?

I played this game every week but i am not a champ like you, because some time i take 3 to 5 hours to clear one stage, now i am getting board i am looking for some more action game.

Farna_boy, I have a friend on my Xbox LIVE friends list who has that problem too. Unfortunately I don't think theres anything you can do. I'm not too sure how it works on the PC but I think maybe you have to start another profile?

As I said I don't think theres much you can do, hackers are annoying as **** on MW2.

Just a quick update for anyone interested:

I eventually found email addresses for both Activision and Steam and basically sent them a copy of the first post here. The result?

Activision:
We can't help you as we do't have access to your rank and challenge information.

Steam:
You connected to a hacked server. You won't be banned for this. We can't do anything to restore anything either.

Since the problem didn't really affect that much I just continued into first prestige and started levelling up again

I have now being playing MW2:MP for a total of 4 and a half days (actual online playing time) and last Saturday I got modded/hacked again. This time I went from level 35 first prestige to level 70 first prestige, with all challenges/guns unlocked.

Although, I can't really complain about this latest hack, it does take away from the sense of achievement I could have got from doing this myself. Other than that I just think that the whole anti cheat thing is a total joke considering playing time vs times hacked.

Not sure if I will be bothered buying MW3 if this ratio continues.
