Need some advice.Buying a computer for gaming,i have decided on two GPU choices, either the XFX ATI 6870(1GB) or the 6950(2GB).The difference between the two is 25EURO,not a huge amount i know, but is the 6950 a better card overall than the 6870?,and is it worth it?Also i was wondering if the AMD Phenom quad core 955,3.2GHz is a good cpu,or will it bottleneck the GPU?,if it does is there a better one in the same price range?. Thank you.

    This may help you decide,

I would go with the 6950 myself as you also may be able to unlock the shaders on it to 6970 speeds.Only some of the 6950's can be unlocked.

A 955 certainly won't bottleneck a single 6950, now two is a whole other story :p. Considering that in its price range at around the 100 euro mark it is up against dual core i3s, it is 100% the CPU of choice on that kind of budget.

    This.

The extra GB of vram is woth the extra €25 alone. Nevermind the higher clocks/shadders and possiblity of flashing the bios to a 6970.

    Get the 6950.....quick.
