    Hi guys,

Does anyone in Ireland work on Pod XT Live's? Mine has a volume problem, it shoots from too loud to too quiet without me touching anything. Ive calibrated the pedal, re installed the software, I really think its a hardware problem. Does anyone open them up??

    Cheers.

I've no idea who can help with repairs. As to the problem itself, my guess would be that there's something wrong with the pedal. I vaguely recall that it's possible to disable it so maybe try that and see if the problem goes away? I've had volume problems with mine in the past but that has normally been down to either accidentally hitting the pedal or not having consistent levels between different patches.

Thanks malice, disabling the pedal seems like a good idea to try but after searching the pod site I cant find a post on how to do it? Can you recall how by any chance?

I reckon whatever is under the pedal is broken. When I step on the pedal its proper volume, but if I even shift my weight back off it the smallest bit is shoots down. The same with wah, when i step on the pedal to switch on wah, its the full treble position, and if I just lift my weight slightly (keeping the toe down) the wah loses all its treble!

My PodXT is boxed up at the moment so I can't check this and, typically, the manual doesn't clarify it either. There should be a way to disable the pedal on a per-patch basis using the editing functionality. which might not be a great help but it should be a start. If I get some time over the weekend I'll dig it out and check.

I managed to do it through Line6 edit! Its a temporary fix but the best I can hope for, as you said it puts the Wah out of action but thats the price you pay for buying in from the States! No comeback! Lesson learned!

    Thanks malice.

He fixed a podxt for me a while ago... as well as a marshall twice... looking back was kinda expensive but it was yonks ago!

Think he is(was at least) the only official marshall repair man too in the country or something also
