I really need to get new tyres. May have to do 2 now 2 later. Currently I have 205/55, 2x falken and 2x continental.

If I opt for 2 new which way round does it go.... better tyres to front or back of car?

Also has anyone had experience with the garage in Lackagh that sell used tyres? They advertise on donedeal and all tyres are imported from germany and are all above 5mm.

Best tyres on the back is the recommended way to go.

Personally I prefer best ones on the front of a fwd.

If I was in Galway I'd be giving Francis Melia of Clonboo tyres a call, top man who won't rob you, he knows his stuff and has the customers best interests in mind.

I've heard that Francis in Clonboo tyres fits tyres bought online. He came to my house, fitted and balanced four Uniroyal tyres. He is a sound guy who won't sell crap tyres.

Another +1 for Francis in Clonboo Tyres

He ordered & fitted 2 rear tyres for me yesterday, matching the best online price I could find

Even gave him a 5 euro tip I was so impressed with the service, and that's not like me!
