    Is there any size these have to be made to suit j rail and fascia and soffit or is fascia and soffit put on to suit these.

    fascia and soffit are put on to suit unless they are very big and they dont look right on the roof you may have to trim back the wall plate. is it upvc or aluminium fascia?? provide blocking to fix it to

    Its pvc fascia and soffit with aluminium guttering. i have to trim back the wallplate allright, im thinking of a handsaw and chisel. would that do?

    ya chisel and hand saw will do the job may be no harm to provide more noggings between the outer rafters and inner rafters and maybe fix the rafter to the block work on the outside
