How many deer tags do you get.
How does that work. You apply for a license and then get told where you hunt.

Opposite over here you find your hunting ground and apply for license based on the ground you have permission on.

205lb. Man you need to get som exercise. :D

I applied for two zones , first preference was zone X1 in Siskiyou County way up north California , probably wont get it as its a premium zone and its my first time applying for this zone but i will get one preference point which will count for next year , second choice was A zone which i know i will get . Tag is good for one antlered deer , once i have the tag i can hunt on almost any state land or any private land i have permission to hunt on as long as it is within zone boundary . I've included a map to give you some idea of what i'm talking about .zones.jpg

Haven't decided yet , I'll be hunting with a friend of mine who"s hunted around Lake Pillsbury , might give it a scout and see what it's like . Might also try around Covelo , I've hunted Turkey up there and like the area .
