Raffles in Laois

    Does anyone know how i would go about setting up a raffle.

    The idea is:
    • Buy a 32" Lcd tv.
    • Go to a club or event, with permission from the manager or whoever.
    • Set up a table at the entrance and sell raffle tickets at 2€ each - 10 for €10 or 4 for €5
    • And at the end of the night raffle it off and keep any profits made, if any.
    Any info would be great.

    You might need permission from Gardaí- I remember organising a raffle ealy '00s and definitely had to get them to sign a form -
    I know a lot of people have random raffles at quizzes,events etc....but in this era with so many chancers etc....would be easier to get support if you had necessary documentation.
