Complaints to the Ombudsman on the increase, and are we surprised? Our Health Service continues to be a joke. I'm not referring to the frontline staff, as my experiences with them have indicated that they are working as best they can to provide some semblence of a service while in the firing line. Cuts have made life a misery for so many people. The decision makers of our Health "Service" should be made to watch the Prime Time report that was on RTE the other night, because as they will say they are aware of the hardship people are enduring, they seem to care less. There are people who have contributed to our society who are physically and mentally failing, and our Government is failing them. My heart goes out to carers, who in most cases have to effectively give up their lives to hand feed their loved ones, change their adult nappies, lift them in and out of bed, help them wash, etc.So much for dignity. http://www.rte.ie/aertel/110-01.html

Got this on Twitter earlier. I didnt see Prime Time but I know of people who are in the situation of being Carers, and it is quite often an exhausting full-time job. When you see it first hand, in many cases you do feel that dignity is gone out the window for so many of those poor people. Are any of my fellow Boardies currently caring for someone? If so, for what its worth, you have my absolute respect. http://www.whinge.ie/whinging/health/hse/

I a retired and not sure if this the right place to post this.
Anyone had my experience of been treated 6 time by a HSE physiotherapist and just given hand outs.
A told it's best practice as it's proven the exercise is the only best long term solution.
I got no manipulation at all.
When I complained I was told I been doing this for years and I even have private practice.
Best practice should say no practice
