painters - buy your own paint?

hi, I've never got a a pro painter, als DIY but I physically can't at the mo :( Do you buy the paint yourself ot get the painter to get it? which works out cheaper or is it six and half-dozen?

Personally I add 15% on to the cost of my paint, so it might be cheaper to purchase it yourself. Not all painters do this however, some provide the service for free.
