    Hi All,
I'm going to Bangor Co.Down in a while from Dublin and so far the best way I can see to get there using public transport is the train to Belfast and then a bus from the train station to Down.
Just wondering if anybody knows of a better way.
Is there a private bus service as there doesn't seem to be a route by bus eireann?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

I didn't know there was a train, and they're cheap too! Ya I'll definitely do that instead of the bus.

Is this for the Tennents Vital fest?

There's no private bus service I know of, your best bet is to get the bus from Busaras to Great Victoria Street Station and you can get the train from there to Bangor.

Ya it is, got my tickets today for the 24th. I was looking around too and can't find any private buses. It looks like it'll have be Dublin to Belfast to Bangor.

There may be special buses running from GVS Station as well direct to the event, keep an eye on www.translink.co.uk

get the bus to belfast it is just as fast as the enterprise and a lot cheaper and far less likely to be delayed by security alerts!

The Bangor train actually stops in Belfast Central so there is no need to get a bus atall; just hop off and on trains up there.

Its been a long while since I got the bus back home to Belfast (hurrah for driving), but while the train may be expensive (its a f*cking rip off tbh) you cant possibly say that its uncomfortable or as slow as the bus?!

They should all go to the Europa Bus Centre, which is in the same building as Great Victoria Street station.
