My mam is meeting me while I am going backpacking so wants to come to Rome.

She has about €200 budget per night. She said she wants to stay near the spanish steps or the trevi fountain.

Where is the best place to stay?

I found a good 4 star hotel but its in the San Giovanni district. Is this too far away?

why does 4 star mean it's 'good'?

Sorry, but can you read. I found a good four start hotel with great reviews and a great price. I am just worried about the location.

In fairness he asked a question and got an unhelpful question in response.
OP I'd recommend the Colonna Palace hotel, 5 minutes from the Trevi and 10 minutes from the Spanish steps.

    Cheers Patrick. Much appreciated.

Yeah it was pretty unhelpful response.
