Can't stand tying them! anybody use alternative knots that are quicker and easier to tie when out on the water setting up a team of flies?

    Thanks...

Double loop and cut one end. Have been using it for years.

4 turn water (cove) knot and accept it's always going to be fiddly.

I'm with Coolwings on this one, the 4 turn water knot (think its also known as the surgeon's knot or improved surgeon's) is relatively straight forward for me and I'm all thumbs when it comes to knots so the thoughts of a dropper fills me with horror :D

I agree, and when i am using fluorocarbon i use only three turns as i find that too many turns can weaken the fluorocarbon.

4/3 turn water knot aswell, I would recommend loads of tag length for the knots too i know theres a recession out there :D but make sure you overlap the main line and dropper line loads before looping the knot and cutting off the excess

This lad makes it clear enough...
