Where to play on the bank holiday monday,

    Hey folks
    Just wondering where would you recommend myself and 3 friends go for a game on the upcoming bank holiday monday,Where would be a good spot for visitors in Dublin for about 30 - 35 a head, We are all reasonable decent, worst being off 17

    Tulfarris also have an open fourball for I think €20 per head. Don't know why though there are so much open fourballs, would much prefer a singles stableford or stroke and thus won't be playing in the fourball.

    Was wonderin the same myself, anywhere nice around carlow/kildare/kilkenny for around 20 per head on bank hol mon

    Gowran Park has some kind of open singles... on all bank holiday weekend. €20 for visitors.

    I booked into edmonstown yesterday. Open singles 30pp. I haven't played it before. Does any1 like or dislike it who has played it before!?

    My mistake on the format tones, it's singles on sunday and fourball on monday, so if theres 2 or 4 of you it may suit.

    Athy is a very enjoyable course to play...

    [off-topic]There are Junior and Inter Scratch cups on there in a month's time. Are they 18 holes played either the Sat. or the Sun. or is there some other format/reason for them to be on over 2 days?

    just 18 holes licksy and play either Sat or Sun.

    Played it this week, its in great shape, greens are very fast (yet there is still the remanents of sanding, not sure how that could be). One thing I did particularly notice was the condition of the tee boxes, best I've come across in a long time. There are a few drags, so its not all flat, Par 5 4th, Par 4 6th are visually good, with the plus points above noted, not really a course I'd be itching to get back to

    Try and hit the centre of the fairway off the tee box, get your next shot on to the green and avoid two putting and you should be fine :D

    Let us know how you get on, playing there Friday and heard its in bad condition.

    Ha ok yeh il try that anyway and see how it goes, if i could do that on 4 holes out of the 18 id be a happy man!!! :D
