Anyone thinking of Hacking into US systems?.
Well think again ,or they will go all military on your ass.
The US is working on a plan to categorise cyber-attacks as acts of war, says the New York Times newspaper.
In future, a US president could consider economic sanctions, cyber-retaliation or a military strike if key US computer systems were attacked, officials have said recently.
The planning was given added urgency by a cyber-attack last month on the defence contractor, Lockheed Martin.
A new report from the Pentagon is due out in a matter of weeks.
"A response to a cyber-incident or attack on the US would not necessarily be a cyber-response. All appropriate options would be on the table," Pentagon spokesman Colonel Dave Lapan told reporters on Tuesday.

So why not use some kind of proxy servers based in the USA to launch the attack and then sit back and watch the yanks attack themselves in retalliation?

Wonder what the US would do against the LawnMower Man if he came back in a sequel and invaded their cyberspace?

It would be better,if all the Irish living abroad ,hacked them from the countries they are living in.
That would leave us as last man standing.:D

The Chinese have been hacking into American systems for years.
They, the American government knows it - they know we know it - they know the Chinese know they know it - they know that we know they know - and the Chinese know that we know that they know we know!

So what do we really know?

That the American government is going to do fcuk all - carry on beating the jingoistic war drums and continue it's ever on going proxy wars where they see profit or some advantage most of the time.

    O' yay America...
Blow it out your ass American government!

Election time must be coming around again there!

That implies they are only trying to poke around and read files, not take control of or sabotage computer systems. The kind of systems that regulate the energy grid (nuclear or otherwise), control floodgates or handle communications, radar, and missile defense. To name a few.

I don't think there's any proxy server that could fool the US government

Anything is "war" with them. That's all they think about.

Wonder how the war on drugs is going?
    And the war on terrorism?

I saw a documentary about this back in the day, they will get Matthew Broderick to play nought and crosses against the offenders until they're confused and learn the error of their ways.

One word for that war - tokenism. The lucrative drug trade has funded many a clandestine CIA/Black OP.

My initial thoughts were that U.S. based hackers are just going to use Chinese proxies to hack whatever institution.
Maybe they can trace it back, but are they then going to declare war on themselves?

If that's the case then America could go to war with some of its allies as well as its enemies.
As has been said they'll do sod all. I don't see America taking military action against China anytime soon. However were Iran to retaliate with a cyber attack of its own in reply to the Stuxnet worm, then it might be a different story.

    News just in!

Top US officials and military personnel have had their gmail accounts hacked by Chinese cyber-criminals!

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-13623378

What's gonna happen next? Obama will probably send China an angry letter telling them how angry he is.
