    Hi Guys

I'm 22 been unemployed for 2 years, i was on JSB but my credits ran out and never applied for JSA cos i didnt think id get it because i was living at home -

I have since applied for it and have my interview next Wednesday.

I'm planning on going to a Further education college in September,

Would i eligible to apply for Back to education allowance?

And if so how would i go about it, what are my first steps...

    Any help would be great

you would need to apply through the social welfare. Thats what I did but its a case by case basis depending on lot of different areas (like parents income, status etc).

If you don't get back to education allowance (which is a weekly payment) you might be intitled to get the VEC grant which wouldnt be as much but it'd be something. You can contact the local ones through the numbers on google.

Be sure to apply for both

Best place to go for information on these kind of things is citizensinformation.ie , they helped direct me
