Other forums often have a go at us...they say with a sneer "take it to after hours", mocking us as juvenile imbecile morons who'll post any auld ****e and respond to any auld ****e

well I am going to show them, I am going to stand up and proclaim to all those mods and users of other forums who have ridiculed this fine forum, that we are not just a bunch of salivating ejaculating fools

yes we like to have a laugh, yes our default position may not be the latest trendy liberal pc-driven sit on the fence and offend nobody waffle, yes we may be thrashy and crude at times but you know what -it's because we reflect the world, we know we shouldn't put a nice gloss and sheen on things at all times, we know the world is a warts and all kind of place and the warts deserve a bit of time in the spotlight too

so I say to all the AH haters that this thread right here and now will demonstrate the sophistication of the AH masses, how we are not just impatient cretins who'll post shoite at any chance we get, how we have an understanding and feel and instinct for world values that are beyond your regurgitated, offend nobody and say nothing, self-satisfied, preachy smugness

I'd say "call it soul" but we don't do cliched sentimentality here unless in an ironic way, anyway the point is AH is not the cess-pit you judge it to be, it transcends boards, it is truth, it is understanding and it is elevated to a plain of empathy with what it means to be human that is beyond the pseudo-intellectual discussions that pass for debate elsewhere

here if people are cockwaving they'll admit to it and they won't use a thesarus to demonstrate same, they'll post a gif of their member, truth, integrity and a fierce intelligence that you have so tragically misunderstood as being immature and dumb

well the proof that AH has moved beyond the petty trivial circlejerking that we witness elsewhere, that our members are not just empty-headed sex-starved layabouts who will unthinkingly and instinctively post ****e in any old thread, well the proof that that is not the case is that we in AH will let this thread be the first in history to go without a reply as a kind of silent protest to how this most misunderstood and necessary and essential and thoughtful and creative and inspirational and soulful and insightful and human of all forums is so often and shamelessly slandered and smeared by others

let our silence speak to those that do not understand us

let the non-replies reach out and send the shockwaves across the boards entire that we here in after hours are not just onto you, we are better than you

knowing that is now the case, feel free to shower thanks on the original post as you are aware that I was satirising something or other or parodying something or other in a very clever way that is several levels beyond the standard capacity of understanding (like the way ronnie o' sullivan is always thinking three or four shots ahead in a game of snooker, well the original post was doing that on a conceptual level)
