have an old potterton netaheat profile 60e gas boiler, worked well when it worked.

    specs from the sticker.

    input
    kw 19.14 20.79 22.57
    output
    kw 14.65 16.12 17.58
    burner
    pressure ---mbar 10.30 12.00 14.00
    gas rate -cu.m/h 1.790 1.940 2.110

it packed in a few winters ago and had to get it fixed quick due to the cold with a pricey part, the repair guy said he wouldn't recommend putting further parts into it after that, he was actual reluctant to fit the part he did.

so it packed in again today, might just need a service but seen as its summer i think i'm going to swap it out for a new boiler.

looking for a suitable replacement with a quality brand and a good long guarantee.

its an old house with a mixture of old and new pipes, big cylinder for hot water (double standard) and open tanks in the Attic, so i don't think its suitable for closed pressured system or grant type spec upgrades.

im going to be adding a wet room to the toilet room beside it and i don't know if this is possible or useful idea, but could i have 2 water systems and something other than a standard vanilla boiler. keep the big cylinder and have mains hot water ready from the boiler for just the new shower room ? (as i said don't know if this is doable/useful/cost-effective)

more importantly, anyone any recommendations on current suitable replacement models/brands/installers/deals ?

    cheers guys.
