    Hi.
Anyone have problems logging in to things like gmail or ebay via the android native browser.
I can't seem to log in to ebay at all. Keep getting the message "a secure connection could not be established".
Same problem with gmail via the browser.

    Gmail app is fine.
But it's nice to be able to log in and out of various gmail accounts without having them stuck on your phone (as they would be if you set them up in the gmail app).
(not being able to log out of the gmail app is a whole other thread of course ).

But anyone know why i'm getting that message.
Seems strange i can't access ebay from the browser.
Do they prefer you, like gmail, to use the app instead?

Any advice really appreciated on this
    thanks.

    Thanks.
    I'm with o2. Hmmm
Incidentally I'm getting the well-known market access problem as well which i think may be specific to o2. Wifi sorts the market thing out but it happens way too regularly.
    o2 just fobbed it off.

But yeah, this general login problem is very frustrating.
If it is o2 related, I might finish with them.

    Any other ideas appreciated.

Try blanking the proxy and port fields in your APN setting as it says in the following link. This just sorted this problem for me.
