    Hi,
i am going applying for a job on jobs.ie and i am wondering in the box that is titled 'cover note' are you expected to type a full cover letter as if you were posting/emailing an attachement in that formal layout with address etc or would you just be expected to just give a few paragraphs..... maybe started with a 'to whom it concerns' at the top?
here is a link to just a job ad on jobs.ie http://www.jobs.ie/ApplyForJob.aspx?Id=1105735 to see what exactly i mean

thanks in advance for your help

I posted some formal and informal - by far i've gotten the better results from the formal

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I also kept it 2-3 paragraphs telling how my skills would be suited to the job -

In my experience; just start with the "To Whom It May Concern" mallarky, giving a brief outline of your work experience to date and why you believe you're suitable for the vacant position. Your name & address, etc. should be at the top of your CV.

    Best of luck.

Once you get called for an interview;its time for the bells & whistles
