Plus Size Clothing

    Hi All,

I have a wedding coming up this summer and I am looking to find a nice dress to wear to it. Does anyone know of any stores in the greater Dublin area that sell plus size clothing at reasonable prices. The only places I can think of are New Look, Evans, M&S and Debenhams (which is a tad on the pricey side).

Would really appreciate any help anyone can give me..

    Thanks!!

I'm not from Dublin so I cant help you there but would you consider online shopping? www.yoursclothing.co.uk is a really good site which regularly has sales and their service has been excellent any time i used them, Clothes are usually here within a week.
    Happy Shopping!

    Hi
www.box2.co.uk does plus size clothing and delivers to Ireland and like the other poster also has sales regularly. Might be worth a look. Also www.yoek.com
does Another place is www.rubenbridal.ie . They do more formal plus size dresses (they are a wedding dress store) such as for debs but some would suit a dressey wedding

www.littlewoods.com have a nice plus size range too. Otherwise a lot of the shops don't really cater for plus size

Totally agree with you, it is so annoying, online shopping is kinda your only option but its expensive paying for delivery each time and guessing at sizes and fit,

If you're on facebook there's a page called vicki 'n' anna

They're 2 girls who are just doing it for fun and go around all the shops looking for fab outfits for plus sized women but they should know all the shops and brands that would be worth going to!

I find Debenhams online best for sizes and offers. Free delivery and reviews usally give you a good idea of sizing.

Forever 21 have some lovely plus size stuff (the jeans are amazing!). There's some nice occasiony dresses there too, although not a huge amount.

I have the exact same predicament as you bget - my cousin's wedding is in July and I've no idea what I'm going to wear :/

Don't make me laugh! IIRC their plus size range stops at a 20, that is NOT a plus size range! That's like 2 sizes!

OP I know you said you preferred a bricks and mortar shop, but check out style369.com - it's being bandied about as Evans' younger, trendier cousin :pac:
Littlewoods, New Look, M&S, Asos, eBay, Evans, Dorothy Perkins, and Next are my top places to shop. Next has a plus size range on their website and it's really nice

Monsoon goes up to a size 22 in most of their dresses. Also, Wallis aren't bad, they can tend to be a bit old but they do have some nice pieces at times but they only go to a size 20.

I really like the new look inspire range but find most of the dresses tend to be really summery and casual rather than wedding guest type dresses unfortunately.

I agree though, I much prefer going into a shop and trying on something, its just so hard to tell with buying onlne! I seem to waste money on buying the wrong sizes etc.

Yes it does stop at size 20 but thats a US size 20 which is more like a size 22/24 over here.. Still not exactly a good plus size range but slightly better..

Was actually in forever 21 today looking for a nice going out out fit and while Im normally a size 20/22 (maybe up to 24 in dresses) I found their 3x size fitted me nicely and even got into a size 18 (but as I say they are American sizes) and ended up buying a nice dress for 23 quid..

However the hunt for a wedding outfit is still on.. Ive been told there is a shop selling plus size clothes in Kilcoole but not sure what its like pricewise etc.. so if I make it as far as there I'll be sure to let ye know what I find..
