Trip to Ibiza

    Hello,

My girlfriend and I are looking to go to Ibiza for the first week of August, but we have a few questions if anyone could answer them:

    1. How would one go about booking reasonably priced accommodation? We've looked in all of the usual places (booking.com, lastminute.com, that kind of thing) but no joy so far.

    2. Is driving around the island feasible/worth it? Would it be possible to go over with no accomm booked, rent a car, and book accomm by the night while over there? Or would prices be prohibitive?

    3. Are we leaving it too late to do this?

    Thanks very much everyone.

    Hi :)
What part of Ibiza are you staying in? For accommodation, I used to use ibiza-spotlight.com, you can book direct with hotels on it which means it's slightly cheaper than using other sites :) As you're going in August I would definitely book in advance, I used to turn up and just find a hotel on the shoulders of the season but it can get pretty full over there in June/July/August! Prices can go through the roof for August as it's the most popular time of the year to go, especially if you just turn up on the day. I would kinda prefer to know which resort you're staying in before advising on hiring a car - although when I was over there the buses were fantastic. Very frequent and went to all the main towns :)
