    Probably a scam.

If you can still log onto your account fine, then ignore it.
If not, contact Blizzard, just not via that link.

If you are playing on an EU realm then it's definitely a scam as the automated emails which are sent are related to the region your account is on.

You can also check the email address where it actually came from in the header of the email, even though it says it came from "@blizzard.com". That link is fake though even if you were playing on US realms ^^

    Cheers,
    Tom

us.battle.net and eu.battle.net are the only real addresses. Anything else is just a scam.

If anyone else is interested in this there's a good topic on the forums :)

Fake or ‘Phishing’ E-mails from Blizzard

    Look at the URL:

    http://www.battle.net.en-us-wordofwarcraft.com/blah...

Does that look like an official blizzard domain name? Clearly not.

Tip - (for all possible email/web phishing scams) - If you are ever unsure about a website and its URL, you can always check who owns it using a WHOIS service, such as below:

    http://whois.domaintools.com/en-us-wordofwarcraft.com

For example, this one is owned by your friend and mine, Guo Yang of Zhejiang, China. For comparison, do a lookup of battle.net, and see what a legit whois record looks like.

Tbh, id never click link in e-mail even if i thought it was real. Easier and safer to just log in as normal using linky in favs;).

Its the first such scam mail ive had, im sure it wont be the last. Not bad considering im playing since vanilla.

There's one thing you can do to stop it, create a new email address and use that only for your world of warcraft account. Theres many ways they can get your email address, the main way is accessing databases of websites, as in fan based websites. So if you use that email address to register an account they get it that way.
