System Restore

    I have my iphone 3gs for just a couple of weeks now and i am having problems with the touchscreen. When I try to send a text message or type anything into the Iphone, the incorrect letters start bouncing on the screen even though i havent touched them.
    Apple have told me to do a system restore, im just wondering how long does this usually take? Also has anyone experienced the same problem?

    The restore will depend on how much space you are using on it, also will depend on the speed of laptop, I have an Iphone 4 with 18gb of stuff and it takes under 1h from what I recall.
