Dell 1545 Battery

Hey all. My 1545 is only 8 months old and the battery is near bolloxed only lasting a half hour, has anyone managed to get warranty on the likes of this, I think I remember reading somewhere that Dell do a 1 year warranty on their batteries. Cheers in advance. Bryan

I know there is a minimum of one year warranty on all electrical goods and in some cases a two year minimum warranty applies.

First make sure the power plan is not set to maximum, a maximum power plan while torrenting with full bright screen will hammer a lot of multicore laptops although 30 minutes is a very short time for a modern machine.

If you are not happy Contact Dell and get them to replace the battery for you. If the Customer Agent says something along the lines that the warranty is not extended to battery's talk to the customer service manager and get them to get you a refund.
