Hi folks,

We're currently looking at getting a carpet for our stairs and landing. This will be a very heavy use area and isn't very wide at any point.

The carpet we want (Kingsmead Artwork) is available in 45oz and 60oz weights. Initially the salesman suggested 45oz was best for this area but is now suggesting 60oz, following a visit from a former fitter. To be honest, I find the carpet salesman a bit clueless and would appreciate advice from others.

Which weight do people think is best for such an area?
