Hey everybody, i have a small problem, i took apart my hk 416 for cleaning and general maintenance, haven't been using it too much and this is the first time i've stripped it down...

anyway after stripping it down and cleaning and spraying silicone where it said to i can't put it back together! well i can most of the such as the rails and whatnot but i can't get the rear pin to go into place, it won't push in straight and dives downwards when you do get it to move, anybody have a solution to this? please help, i don't want to have to take it apart anymore to try and fix this!!!

Before i try to push the bolt into place

after, you can see that it's dived down and theres a gap at the top

EDIT: Admin can remove this thread i posted it in the wrong section by accident meant to put it in the general airsofting section, sorry

Fire selector position? Try moving the selector switch.

Out of interest how far did you strip it down?

Have you put in the bolt into the spring guide yet? It's the bolt that goes in through the stock tube...
If you have, you will find it difficult to get that rear pin in. Just loosen it off if you have and it should give you some free play.

Also, put the centre body pin in after you get the the rear pin in place. (gives more free play to get the pin in)

Failing that - you may have to loosen the grip off a bit (if on already). Dont force the pin!

Might do the trick for ya.
    Best of luck.;)

Defender said better what I meant, I blame flu for incoherance.

no worries on the location, we all muck up, asked a mod to move it for you :)

if you losen those bits as recomended, it should all work. Sometimes things get a bit off keel and need reseating, it happens. All should be grand eventually.

Its FIXED!!! took off the rear stock tube and reciever place and was able to lever up the back of the gearbox and push the pin in! and whats worse is that theres no need to take the pin out! it only hold the gearbox in place has nothing to do wih holding the top assembly in place in the VFC one anyway!

problem solved thread can be closed....
