A leaking OUTSIDE tap - how do I turn off the water?

The tap outside does come inside leading to the main sink in the kitchen.
But the pipes don't seem to have a shut off valve under the sink.

Do I need to turn the water off at the mains out in the garden.
I live in a rural location so have one main switch for the whole house - just seems a bit extreme?
Also seems a bit extreme to employ a plumber for what is really a 5 minute job.

Any advice appreciated.

Most people fit these into the line under there sink so unless they put in an isolation valve yes you will have to turn off the mains...

On the other side of life if its only off 5mins then you wont be waiting long..

Its a fairly easy change an outside tap and at least you know that generall if you botch up then you wont destroy your house.

I never tested that... there is a valve under the sink in our house.

Thanks, no there doesn't seem to be an isolation valve.
