What is the deal with this bumpkin from Galway ? Why did he decide to take the option of having 0 speaking rights in the dail?

Perhaps Deputy Grealish has more pressing business concerns.

His interests don't lie in the Dáil, he's as much a parish pump politician as Healy Rae or Lowry. He spoke a total of 3 times in his last term in the Dáil. God knows why these eejits keep re-electing him

Maybe he feels he has nothing worth saying and is sparing us the self promoting puffery that we get from many other non-entities?

Correct , this man has nothing worthwhile to say. Why would he need speaking time.

Because some eejits think that an independent parish-pumper is better than a Fianna Fail parish-pumper.

    No they're not, FFS.

What? Why is he a parliamentarian exactly? If I was taoiseach I'd ban anyone over the age of 30 participating in the Dáil, I'd burn the parliament down and build a new one in Tory island, where I would personally inspect each new TD to ensure they had the requisite levels of integrity, intelligence and honesty to be a member of parliament. And yes, if I were in power I'd probably become a fascist.
