Hi, don't really use the photography forum, so I hope this is the right place to post this.

My friend's car got broken into today on Thomas Street, with her camera in it. I'm just asking that if anyone sees an ad pop up sometime soon on Gumtree/ads.ie etc, or anywhere really, with the following, to shoot me a PM. I know sometimes people can get stuff back this way.

    Canon 400d w/Battery Grip & 16GB SD Card
    Canon Speedlite 430EX II Flash
    Sigma 10mm-20mm Lens

    Thanks.

check out cash converters and pawn shops.

put flyers up in the area offering a reward for the items (I had a similar event several years ago....long story short I got a call at 3am offering to sell me back my gear for €50)

Yes, especially the one on Thomas Street!

Also, head on up to the market there on Meath street, in the liberty market there is a photo stall, if it is still open, there is a guy called Conleth running it, ask him if he was approached by anyone trying to sell a camera. I used to run it and was approached a couple of times although I turned them away each time.
